• Can you simply explain what a smart home is?

A smart home is a house where the electronics (such as lightning, alarm, cameras, thermostats, speakers, and more) communicate with each other while providing the end-user with one coherent single user interface for control.

• What are the main components of a smart home?

The most important component is the brain that brings all the components together (ex: main processor). Then the individual controllers that control their own corresponding products, such as: lighting, thermostat, audio amplifiers, security, surveillance, and more). And then the products themselves such as the shades, dimmers, cameras, speakers and more.

• Can I pick only some features of a smart home? What are the minimum components?

Yes, you can simply buy a smart door lock, install it on your entrance door, connect it to wifi and then you have a smart door lock that you can lock/unlock remotely. The same thing can be done for the speakers, thermostat, alarm system, cameras, and more. 

• Is home automation manageable for people who are not tech-savvy? 

Yes, if the right home automation company is chosen, home automation is for everyone. Home automation brings simplicity, convenience and security if implemented properly with the end-user in mind. 

• Can I have lighting automation for the existing place I am living in, or is it limited only to new constructions?

Yes, you can have lighting automation for your entire home. Since your residence is already built, you can have wireless lighting solution and still take advantage of every feature lighting automation has to offer, such as scenes, schedules, dimming, and more.

• Am I limited to choosing a single brand for my all automation applications or can you integrate different selections?

It’s smartest if you can pick the best automation products that are available and have them all integrated.

• I only have a general idea about smart homes so I don’t know what I exactly need. Can you help me with how to start?

• Are you offering repair/maintenance services to the automation systems installed by other companies other than yours?

Yes, but first we have to inspect and evaluate the currently installed platform, and then see how we can help maintain and service your project.

• I have an old Lutron HomeWorks Illumination lighting system. Can you upgrade it to HomeWorks QS?

Yes, we can definitely inspect the current installation and update/upgrade it to the latest Lutron HomeWorks QS solutions.
